How  poor celebrates with nothing?

The whole year round Philippine fiestas of all kinds

mark the Filipino calendar. Not only popular saints

but also the most obscure ones are given a

place for celebration.

KASIYAWAN Festival  of the poor makes it the

best day in Smokey Mountain.  Organized by

Kabataang Sambayanang Kristiyano KSK

drums, shouting dancing never ends.

Wealth of the Poor

The KASIYAWAN Festival is a yearly Festival in the RISEN CHRIST PARISH of TONDO in the Philippines. Its name derives from the words KASIYAHAN  and SAYAWAN,  meaning JOY in DANCING. The festival is a celebration of resurrection of life everlasting, a thanksgiving for the gifts of Easter, the wealth of the poor, the bounties of having nothing and serenity of living. It is held every EASTER SUNDAY of the Year.
